Metafolin contained in B-complex w/ Metafolin is an active form of folic acid and plays an important role in DNA synthesis, conversion of homocysteine to methionine, cysteine metabolism and the synthesis of neurotransmitters (serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine). It is produced in the body as a result of the conversion of folic acid using the MTHFR enzyme. Unfortunately, in many people this transformation is impossible due to genetic conditions.
